Sundance Film Festival– Independent Film in Park City
If you’ve never been in Park City for the Sundance Film Festival, you’re missing out! The amazing snow, mountains and abundance of outdoor activities aren’t the only thing Park City has to appreciate. The 2009 Festival is coming up January 15-25. The Sundance Institute is a non-profit organization that aims to discover and develop independent artists and audiences of Independent film. The festival, started in 1981 by Robert Redford and a group of his friends and colleagues fills Park City each year with new films, music, art, film makers and celebrities from around the world! Sundance is an internationally renowned event that introduces the world to the newest and best in Independent film and theatre.
The collections of short films are a favorite at the festival each year, with something for everyone to enjoy and if you have time to really dig in and see several festival films, you’ll love the unique approaches and the opportunity to listen to the film-makers discuss their work.
