|Visa U.S. Freeskiing Grand Prix presented by The North Face Brings Sochi’s Future Stars to Our Snow Jan. 17 & 18
If they’re going to be stars in Sochi next month, they have to earn their spot here when we host the Visa U.S. Freeskiing Grand Prix presented by The North Face January 17-18.
A stacked international field will be here competing for a chance to represent their countries when freeskiing makes its Olympic debut just a few weeks later. This competition will be the final opportunity for athletes from several countries – including the United States – to earn the points they need to qualify for their nations’ respective teams.
The Slopestyle event will be held in King’s Crown terrain park while Halfpipe will be in the Eagle Superpipe – men’s and women’s events for both disciplines will be competed both Friday and Saturday. Then on Saturday night, we host the naming ceremony for the first ever U.S. Olympic Freeskiing Team and celebrate with a live concert by O.A.R. It’s all free and open to the public!
